I just signed up with Packet8 Networks for the ulimited long distance, and my problem is this....
I want to set up my Compact DCS to use LCR to route ALL long distance to CO-704 and all local numbers to CO's 701-703...I followed the example in the "Special Applications" section of the IDCS 500 cd I got from the class (The example was for dialing a special LD carrier number (Not what I wanted to do, but helped me program the LCR MMC's))
When I dial a 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX number, I always get a INVALID NUMBER after I dial a 1 then the next number. IF I dial a 9 (The LCR group) then 1 and the next number I get INVALID DATA.....
So, at this point I cannot dial long distance numbers without first direct trunk a line and then dial.
I appreciate ANY and ALL help with this!
Thanks, Scott

Im not a DCS person but maybe this will help. Most LCR tables look for Trunk groups not direct trunks. And your route tables for area code is important. If its a toll free send it over the 3 local trunks this will keep the 4th line open real LD traffic.

That's right, you need to set up the long distance sequence to go out a specific route and that route uses a trunk group that has your line 4 in it.All other calls will go out a different route that is a trunk group with lines 1-3 in it.
