How can I tell if the backup switch is turned on for the MCP card? Is there a particular MMC program or do you have to visually look at the card?
This switch will automatically backup the customer database/settings on the Smart Media card or is that a different function?
When the system is reset, do you need to have a copied customer database on the smart media card or will the Samsung use the " Super capacitors(which I read will keep memory stored for 7 days in the event of a power loss)
I don't believe the customer database has even been copied to the smartmedia card.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

You would have to visually check the switch. As for backing it up to the smart media card the answers are in the manual you have. You don't have to have it on the media card if the memory backup is on.It will reload from ram.
