Had someone call about a Samsung 24, I have never heard of such a animal. is there such a thing? Or was he talking about a phone set?

there are 824 used on old 1224 and 56/120
and also one on dcs
you should confirm system w/cust 1224 and 56 were gray metal
dcs is gray plastic

They are insisting that the system is a Samsung 24, I asked them the same things you have posted but no go. Guess I'll have to take a drive out there and see what they really have.
