Hi.

My phone company is only providing me a phone number(not not name) I have a fixed list of people who call on a regular basic however the list is too big to enter in the phone key pad in MMC 728.

I am considering using the PCMMC software to enter this information in. I have never used the PCMMC software before can anyone tell me if its difficult to enter in information in the number-to-name translation table(MMC728) or is it pretty straight forward?

Please let me know.

Thanks for your help.

Well...it depends on what system you are working with. If it is a DCS system, my sugestion is to stick with the keyset programming. If you have an iDCS system, then by all means use PCMMC (now called OfficeServe). The interface for the OfficeServe is great, the old DCS PCMMC is cryptic and confusing at best, not worth your time to set up and use. Good luck.

Hi.

Its actually the IDCS. So I guess it uses the more user friendly menu.

I found the Samsung system to be a lot more user friendly than Nitsuko or Tie.

I am not sure if you have worked on other systems but the Samsugn programing seem easier to figure out in my opinion.

Thanks.

Can the PCMMC software be run without interrupting normal phone system use?

I know the answer is yes for the keypad programming but I'm not sure about the computer based PCMMC software.

Thanks.

The pcmmc does not interrupt the system running. It just programs through a serial port.
