On a Samsung DCS system with a single Trunk A1 card, is it possible to assign two different page key sequences to combine the external and internal page zones? We'd like to use 55* to page all keysets plus the external zone, but program another 55x to page some keysets and the external zone. Would another A1 card facilitate this?

I believe that you can only page internal and external using page group *.

You can only page internal and external at the same time with the 55* code. You cannot separate out the way you are asking. The system has 4 internal,4 external and all page.
