Hi there,
There are only a couple of things left to iron out on our phone system now so any help appreciated.. Our system is a DCS816 with a basic rate ISDN card connected to a single channel of ISDN2e.
Message 1.
When I pickup the handset and dial 9 for an outside line, it comes up with the trunk name at the top when it comes up but says SETUP_ACK below the trunk name. Is this something that needs addressing?
Message 2. Once an external number is dialled and it starts ringing, ALERT_IN apprears in the display below the number being dialed.. Once again, is there anything that we should know about this??
Many thanks once again in advance. This forum has been a life saver for us to get our phone system perfect!!!!

I'm guessing those are just status messages from the isdn lines as the calls are being placed. The first 1 sounds like it is for the setup of the call, the second sounds like it is telling you that the call is ringing to the far end.If your calls are going through OK then I wouldn't worry about them.We don't use isdn here in North America.

Once again, thanks for your response PVJ!!
The calls are going through but I thought that maybe the messages were flagging some error so im not going to worry about them anymore.
