Hi all,

I inherited a comdial executech system. We want newer phones as we have the 6700S-FB right now. What are the newest phones that are compatible? We only have a 2 line system and do use the intercom.

Thanks

Which executech are we talking about? There should be a white sticker on the right side above the amp connections.

That won't matter Russ, if it's a 6700 set the best the system can be is a system 2000. Vintage 1990 or so. 6600 sets would give more buttons, but anything to work with that system will be 15 yrs. or more old. Refurbed sets are abundant. If you don't want to spring for a new system, stock up on refurbs now as many of us are eliminating that line due to age. Sundance probably has plenty to buy.

The 6700 series phones are the "newest" ones you'll be able to get. The system you have will support the 6600 series phones that are more sturdy, but your options are limited aside from these.

The 6700 series was developed to come up with a cheaper alternative to the 6600 series (6614, 6620, etc.)

The 6600 is a nice phone, but it won't offer a lot more in the way of features. You'll get more buttons, but aside from that, you are limited to the capabilities of the system itself.

Edit: Somebody beat me to the answer.

I like the 6600 myself but Ed is on the money about the 6700 series being the newest but cheaper line of phones. You already have the flat black phone which is the most up-to-date color you will find. Listen to Mark about buying what you can, I no longer stock those phones myself.
