HI

Please could someone help, I have a new Plantronic headset - supra H51/A and BIWAY switch - B1WAY 11, PLX connected to a samsung phone model - KPDCS-12B LCD. When I turn the headset on from the phone the ANS/RLS light stays on constant and when i use the by way switch at up the caller can hear me but I can't hear them, but if I pull the by way switch down the caller can't hear me but I hear them. Therefore I can't use it.

Thanks, kind regards

Anne

HI, THANKS FOR COMING BACK TO ME, AS I AM GETTING NOWHERE. THE BIWAY SWITCH HAS A PLUG FOR THE HEADSET AND THE PHONE AND THEN THE BIWAY SWITCH PLUGS INTO THE HANDSET PLUG ON THE PHONE. IT MAYBE NEEDS PROGRAMMED OTHER THAN SWITCHING THE HEADSET ON. A BIT STRANGE THE FACT I CAN HEAR THE CALLERS AND THEY CAN HEAR ME BUT JUST NOT AT THE SAME TIME. HELP

REGARDS
ANNE

Ya it seems to me that the switch should be set in the middle and all should work fine but thats not the case. the system does not need any programming unless you plan on using the ans/rls key only and dont plan on lifting the hand set (the programming just disables the hook on the keyset so that it does not see the handset)

Cut off the rj 9 plug and swop the mike wires
It is the inner pair. This will solve your speach problem
The best way to connect the headset to a digital phone is to plug it in directly to the handset socket.Cut out all the $#$ with switchboxes.

There is a reason for using an outboard amplifier. And Samsung needs one as the levels at the handset jack are not sufficient to drive a headset by itself.

SlojoSA please stop posting a non working link with all your messages.

Hiya

Tried all the suggetions and I still have the same problem. Plug the headset into the handset port in phone directly and I can hear caller, caller can't hear me, I know the mike is fine cause when I have the biway switch plugged in and down the caller can hear me and I can't hear them. I tried having the phone set to headset turned on and off. I realise the biway switch is only there to allow me to swap between handset and headset. My boss was having a laugh saying if we buy another one and set the biway switch the other way and wear two headsets it would work. HELP PLEASE.

PVJ

Are you suggesting I buy an amplifier as well to make it work?

Anne
