Hello.

I am setting up a series of fax machines to the SLI ports on a Samsung idcs 500 system.

How would I go about having the system automatically dial a 9 when someone sends a fax? The fax machines are only used for getting and outside line and sending an outbound fax. They are never used for internal calls. I figure why not save them a step?

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?

The feature you would use is called Hot Line. You would program it on a per extension basis in MMC 306. Just place a 9 in the field for number to be dialed.

You will also need to to change the "Off Hook select" to 0 in 502 for that extension.

This sounds like exactly what I was looking for.

Actually you should use mmc 307 for off hook select not hot line.Hot line is internal.

Nope they were right samsung combined 306 and 307 into just 306 since the 100 and 500 came out.
