I'm using a DCS816 with an Aleen VME4000 (badged as Oak VoxBox in UK). I've set each extension up to forward to the voicemail group on Busy/No answer in MMC102. This works if the phone is genuinely engaged or isn't answered, but does not forward if DND is set at an extension.

Many thanks - will have a try with MMC607 forwarding to vm group tomorrow - Not sure what the UCD Options are so will check out the programmers manual!

I tried MMC607 - this simply says that there are no UCD groups set up.

My VM/AA group is actually set as 503 - (DCS816 is limited to 500-509). Apparently only the last three of these can be set as UCD groups.

However, not sure if this is going in the right direction as the voicemail is working and the extensions are forwarding to vm on busy or no answer. The issue is that setting DND to on - does not seem to busy out the extension and fwd to vm. Although if you dial an extension with DND on you certainly get an engaged tone.

Am I missing something fundamental?

Yes,
Just walk up to a phone dial 607,529.No need to enter programming mode,this is simply call forwarding from a set.
