Looks like we might've taken a lightning hit in the MOH jack on a Prostar 816 Plus. One phone was all lit up (like the button test)... and the lines were nuts. Powered down, pulled the batts, revrsed, after quite a bit of fiddling I finally have things running - EXCEPT -
If any user presses the HOLD button on their keyset... the CO lines become unavailable.
Meaning... if you have a caller on line, and you want to put him on hold... he never makes it, he just "goes away", although the display will show the line is being held.
It will also takes several seconds before you can sucessfully pick up and of the CO lines... they *might* try give a bit of a dial tone... otherwise they just play some sort of "warning beep" and shut off rather quickly.
Best to just wait for a few seconds... then try to pick up a line, and it'll likely be ok.
Same thing happens if a user tries to use the HOLD button to listen to MOH... it "blows off" all the CO lines for several seconds...
HALP ! Sounds like a fried chip to me, or a major big reprogramming task...
