We have an iDCS100.

I want to setup some speed dial numbers for calling mobiles. At previous places I've worked at we could dial a a number such as 50001 and that would ring a mobile number. Is there an mmc on the idcs100 that will allow me to set this up?

Thanks in advance

MMC 105 will allow you to program a personal speed dial. This can be used in conjunction with a "SPD" key progammed through MMC 722. If you want to use system speed dial the MMC is 705. All you have to do is plance a 9 and the number to be called in either location, assuming you dial 9 to access an outside line.

Hi, thanks,

So after using mmc 705 would I just dial 502 for instance to dial for number assigned to that speed dial?

Can I throw in a lot of words? What is stated above is correct. If you are less techie, the following will help.

Assuming you have the technician pass code, you can use 722 to put a "SPD" button on any empty button or any button you want to replace with a "SPD" button.

You can use program 105 to store a number in bin 500, 501, 502 etc. up to the maximum number of bins you have. You can use program 106 to store a corresponding name in those bins numbered the same as in 105.

If you have a DIR2 button for system speed dial lookup or a DIR1 button for personal speed dial lookup you will find program 106 helpful. IF no DIR button, it is a waste of time to do 106.

If you dial 9 to get an outside line, you enter the number in the speed dial bin with a 9 and a dash is automatically entered. You enter in the number and press the right button under the display to store it in the bin.

In 606 you can see how many bins are available and they are in sets of ten. If you see 10 in system speed dial there are 100 bins from 500 to 599, 20 in system speed dial mean bins from 500 to 699, etc. You can move speed dial bins around so phones have none to 50 (shows as 0 to 5) and system from none to 500 (shows as 0 to 50).

If you have particular numbers you want to put on dedicated buttons, in 722 you program the button to be "SPD" then right cursor and put on the bin number, then right cursor to store. A button could be "SPD15" for personal speed dial bin 15 or could be "SPD555" for system speed dial bin 555, etc.

Actually using mmc 105 lets you put speed dial numbers into bins 00-49 which are personal speed dials.
To program the system numbers 500 and above you need to access mmc 705 which you need technician level access to program.

Sorry P

you only need access to customer programming (trans 200) the passcode and then 1

but the rest is correct "Actually using mmc 105 lets you put speed dial numbers into bins 00-49 which are personal speed dials"

Hell I misread a Toshiba problem and left three wrong answers about a PRI not working in a slot I thought couldn't be used.

When I finally had what might have been the answer, I sent a private e-mail. Enough egg on face for a whole year if not more.

Is there a contest on mistaken posts? I may be leading and anyone who wants to win has my blessing to pass me.
