I have a possible new customer that has this system and one of there main problems is: They have an LD T1 and a local PRI. WEhen dialing out they must dial a 2 to access the LD T1 and an 8 to access the local PRI. I am not sure why the customer has to do this, can the switch not route the calls itself? To me, it does not seem like the switch is programmed correctly, but I have no knowledge of Samsung. Thank you in advance.

Also what is the max size of this unit? They will need to be increasing in size by about 40 extensions. They now have about 40 and the 2 T1's.

Yes, the switch should be able to route calls using LCR requiring only one "outgoing" digit or button. This programming should not be difficult at all. How did the original programmer convince the customer that dialing (remembering) multiple codes was the best procedure to follow? I could use a salesperson with those powers of persuasion.

Yeah that is very easy to do. All you have to do is program your LCR tables in the system so that based on what they dial it goes to the appropriate T1 or PRI. Do you know if this 500 is a R1 or an R2? If you look at the last card in the system it is either an MCP or and MCP2. MCP=R1 and MCP2=R2. You will be able to add that many extensions no problem. You might have to go to a two cabinet system though.
