The only reason you would have to ship it out is for a hard drive failure or other hardware failure. If they can give you the newest version of software get it. Apply the new patch to get to the new version. Then I would try a default on the svmi, make sure you do a default ALL. Then copy back on only the data you need like your *.tbl files and MBX folder, custom prompts and if they need them the MSG folder. Hope you get it fixed.

Have had this on 100's & 500' the resolve I found is...100 MAX the PWR supply, you probably are running a MAXed out system...on the 500's add a PSUb or PSU60...has solved the problem everytime ....especially if you are within 2-6 power-units. Test w/spare PSU...Good luck!

I have a SVMI-8 that just hangs in the middle of processing calls.. It is not set to reboot on maintence.. I have yet to change the setting as I am replacing the whole switch anyways (we are moving to a larger facility and purchased a new system)

Then, The SVMI-16e on the new system would play dead air on ports 9-12, and would hang on reset, i reseated both vpm boards and now it doesn't act up.
