Hello All,
We have an SMi-8E is a 2 Cab DCS (yes! I know/cheap customer) running a 2 Tenant in the DCS. We can not get the MSG light s to work on tenant 2, not even with the "41 & 42" codes. The system (VM) does not seems to try/via screen watch. Has onyone come across this? STA support (sounds like "CIA" respects) said that there is "corruption" & to DEFAULT both systems & test the problem out...imagine that, that phrase MUST be posted on the wall the all face towards. Anyhow, all help is appreciated...Thanks. Michael

The 42 and 42 codes should have nothing to do with an inskin voicemail. The lights should get lit through the data bus.Is the numbering plan different at all?Ie tenant 1 has 2XX and tenant 2 has 3XX?
A default to test shouldn't be a huge problem if you backup the programming first.

The numbering plan is straight 201>on, zero duplicates / changes to MMC724. STA says that a "02" code is needed to get to the "02 tenant", yet they could not say HOW to inject it...wonders never cease. This system has ...Ten #1> 13 digital EXTN Ten#2> 7 digital EXTN.
I did a default test on another system w/a SVMi-8 & STA said that I needed a seperate VM system to do this. Wondering still. Thanks for the reply!

Why are they doing tenant service?

You could restrict line access in 304, you could set up the smvi-8 to follow lines.

Why tenant service?

An installer came in this week and said that for DCS tech support they sent him to a 900 number?

Anyone had this happen to them?

Corruption is nothing new to Samsung stuff, they just paid a $300 MILLION dollar fine for fixing prices on memory chips. This is a true story, in the LA Times rag and other papers, not just a knock on someone who makes Samsung phones.

yes legacy systems are now on paid support, but not any system still being produced so that sounds odd
