I have a customer with a Svmi-4e that is actually uses all thier message storage space every single day. It comes with 3 hours off the shelf and I have tweaked it to remove everything I can think of to free additional space. Killed the 2nd and 3rd language prompts, killed all unnecessary extension blocks, ran checkdisk, no bad sectors.. it just doesnt have enough space. I talked to tech support and no one will work with me to create a bigger flash card. (I mean, honestly my camera has more storage space than the 4e.) Anyways Samsung wont help me, but the last time I was at training in Chicago I met a guy whose company made larger cards for thier customers. Ive tried just moving the program files from the small card to a larger one, but the system always says that Operating System not found. I think it has something to do with the boot sector on the disk. Anyone have any ideas? Or know what company does?
Oh, and I understand if this gets removed.. It kinda infringes on Samsung's copyrights to the software, but my customer has already bought the software... The voicemail comes with a card already in it, so there's no reason to stop ordering them from Samsung... They ship you new software if you say you have a bad copy... And most importantly, I pledge to use my powers only for good and not for evil.

I have heard of people doing this. It does involve formatting the new flash properly and knowing some knowledge about the file structure of the svmi. I haven't tinkered with that though I know it can be done. If you get it to work make sure to keep the old one in case you need to send the card back to Samsung. The message board I use to post on had a guy that did this and he posted how though the board is long gone and I never copied it. I wouldn't mind the extra storage space for my customers either. Some applications I have designed simply require more space and on rare occasions I've had the same problems. Hope you get it working!

Bacher I had this problem as well on a 4E and it caused me some grief until I discovered my mistake.I had a group mailbox for the general messages that I copied the messages to the reception mailbox afetr the message was left..What I forgot to do was to deletethe original message after forwarding it and it caused the flash to fill up.

yea.. Ive seen alot of problems with forgotten messages and the like, but I've already searched the subscriber list and checked memory, so I'm fairly sure they are just getting alot of messages everyday.

Just in case you didn't know easiest way to check where messages are and if they are saved/deleted/new is to go to port activity and type in message. I've used that to find who is saving every darn message or to find a rouge mailbox that is accumulating messages.
