DS 616 with SVMi voice mail I added 2 announce only mailboxes to system and assigned them 502 and 503. After doing so when pressing the VMMSG button on phones , user goes to the directory menu instead of receiving prompt to enter password.

are the ??? goto ext ???? goto ext ??? goto mbx ???? goto mbx Still in the menu block day and night ?
what do the trunks ring 500 or 502
at the main menu day what are the prompt numbers?
on page 2 do you have a 502 go to mbx 502?
from the menu do you have the forward station and forward trunk pointing to 502 or someplace else
Sorry about the questions but it makes no sence that you created a couple of boxes and now you get the directory. It seems to me that there is a pointer set wrong.
assumning you use day and night mode you need to check both menu's and make sure that 500 thru 503 do not point to the dir block.

are 502 and 503 extensions or groups? if they are groups set up a VG502 and VG503 key on an extension in those ring groups press that, tell us what happens?
the best way to see what is going wrong or right is to use the "port activity" screen from the main menu.
