I have a Cadence AA and want to set up a single digit menu. When the party dials 1 I would like a group of phones to ring. So I put the extensions in group 507 but when I associate 1 with 507 in Cadence it says invalid option when someone dials in and presses 1. It works if I put a single extension in.
Also, How could I make it so that if someone dials from the outside if no one in the group picks up it goes to the 500 operator group and if someone explicitly dials an extension in the 507 group it will go to voicemail if no one picks up? Thanks for your help.

You may need to add 507 into the Cadence,that's why it thinks it's an invalid number.
As for the 507 group going to the operator if it's not answered,put 500 as the next destination in the 507 group programming and set the overflow timer.
If someone dials a specific extension in the 507 group ex.222 then you can set extension 222 to call forward to the voicemail group 529 using the station call forwarding options.

Thanks guys. PVJ - I'm not sure I understand what you mean by add 507 to Cadence. I do understand, now, the next destination and overflow timer to make it go to 500 if no one answers. RCA - I can add 507 in the single digit menu under 1 but when I try to use it, i.e. call from an outside line and press 1 Cadence replies invalid option. If I implement the single digit menu i.e. press 1 for sales 2 for accouting, how does it know I am not dialing extension 222? I assume its a timing thing that the single digit menu doesn't kick in until welcome message 2 plays? Maybe thats why when I press 1 from the get go it says invalid option. Where, besides the Cadence tech manual and DCS tech manual could I read about setting this stuff up? Thanks again. Peter

I havnt played with a Cadence in awhile so ill try from memory here. On the Operations screen you entered yes to single digit menus and then you have a prompt recording for this menu?

You need a box on the 507 extension, dont ask me why but I noticed without a box you get that error and with a box you dont. Also there is one more setting but I dont have my notes, as soon as I get to them I will post again.

Anytime you add an option to Cadence, AA or anything,you have to actvate the MB and the extension assoicated with it.
