hi,

i have connected a music source to my new dcs-816 on pin 38/13 but there is no music when i press hold. is there a setting in the programmming mode i have to select to make it work?

one more qs,

once a line is on hold, they can listen to the music but it says in the manual that if you just press the hold button whilst on hook, you would be able to hear music.

when i press hold on my station, i cannot hear anything ? i have already set teh stations to the external music.

how do i do this?

if they can hear music while on hold then we know the connection is correct.

if i switch of the system, all the names of stations, settings will reset isnt it?

i have samsung system batteries but forgot what pins it needs connecting to.

The system will only lose its settings if you have not turned on the memory backup switch.This will hold the prgramming for days.The other batteries that you would connect are for power fail operation.
