hi,

i would like to connect a speaker to my system, so that it will play the background music from the ext. source and when someone rings, it will ring as well.

basically, i main speaker in the warehouse so that people there can hear the phone.

if so, which pin do i have to connect the +, - of speaker(s) to on the krone strip.

thanks

your gonna need your manual.

yes its possible to add external equipment.

Not to be harsh but you seem to be taking on a project you are not qualified for, you might want to call a tech or dealer to complete your install as we are here to help with your questions but we are not here to replace a vendor or dealer.

If your questions remain simple then I would have no problem helping but they are becoming technical and more complex. Again please contact a dealer or installer. I can give you plenty of references in your area if you would like. laugh

No it's not a door phone.
What you are after is external paging and that is something that would be an add on to the system and not made by Samsung. To do what you want you need a paging speaker and an amplifier that can also switch accept a music input as well as the external paging signal from the telephone system.
wrichey is right it has become very clear that you are in above your head and a dealer would be a smart way to go.

i know, but why? i have no experiance to install this. all i did is read the manual and punch in the appropriate wires to the apropriate pins on the krone strips. i have successfully completed everything, i just wanted to make sure what else i can do such as the external paging, etc.

my task is to install and program the autoattedant. i dont think i would need an installer as it should be fairly ok to install as i would have all manuals, etc but i only relate to this forum in order to help me in the small problems occuring.

these topics are not very technical:

1) DSC-816 - MAKE ALL PHONES RING WHEN LINE1 & 2 RINGS

2) DCs-816 - Music on Hold

3) DCS-816: Is this possible??

they are just normal posts, posts which are similar to nearly all posts in any forum.

They are normal posts from someone who does not have any experience with a telephone system. While the board is here to help, our intention is not to replace a good tech or installer.
You say you have the manual then your first 2 posts the answers were right there in the manual. We do not mean any disrespect but you need to find someone to help you out.
If you cannot program telephones to ring and set up music on hold I can pretty much tell you that programming an auto attendant will be beyond your capabilities.

Oh for goodness sakes, this is so simple.

Butcher a spare digital phone or buy a cheap digital phone, a 7 button or 8 button or cheap old 12 button non-display.

Open the case by removing the screws on the bottom of the phone. Drill a hole anywhere you like that will not show. Cut both wires going to the speaker in the middle of the available length so you can put them together later if you choose. Connect the wires in the phone to a cable going to the amplifier input.

The ohms going to the speaker won't be identical to the normal input of the amplifier, but probably close enough. Make sure that phone is programmed for background music (the [hold] button turns in on and off) and that phone is in the page group.

That said, if you made the electrical wiring for my Volvo 35 years ago, don't even pick up the handset, it is far too complicated.
