Very simple question but am having problems programming it. Samsung DCS system need to have a line appearance on two secretary's phones for their manager's extension. So when his extension (227)rings there is a 227 button on the other 2 phones that light up and ring also.

Is this for an incoming call, a call routed through voicemail, or a DSS forwarded call? Also, what kind of DCS system? Different solutions for different situations, here is info generic to DCS products. You would most likely need to put the three ext's in a group and have the incoming or voice mail transferred call ring the group and not the individual extension.

Yes, this depends on which DCS and software level. The more recent software has a newer button feature (CC) that will actually light up and ring. Older systems will only light up but no audible ring.

Thank you very much for your quick responses. Your answers are exactly what we thought but we needed a couple of other opinions to be sure. It looks like a system upgrade is needed but here are some particulars anyway. Calls ARE routed through vm, Release 4 s/w,
LCD C 24 button phones,DCS KSU KP40D-M/XAR

So the fast fix is give them group keys and in the voicemail have it ring the group you need. Eg: manager 1, secretary 1 group 501. manager 2 secretary 2 group 502.

add those extensions to those groups and your done. The exception will be the vm. you need to have those groups roll over to there respective mail boxes if nobody answers.
