I have multiple customers in Vegas that are having "Blank" voicemail messages left in their mailboxes. They are a result of the Samsung's not detecting a CO disconnect. (I have proved this by removing the bridging clips and seeing the lines drop immediately.) In all cases they are analog lines from Embarq. I have attempted to find out from Embarq how long their disconnect signal is but they had no clue what I was talking about. Any suggestion on what I should set MMC 503 too?
Thanks in advance.

Look into your Trunk timers. One I always change is Clearing to 600-800. look at Supervision?? Play with them to find the problem.

I have to say its not the system, with that said.
Some one at the CO should be able to tell you the disconnect length or the loop current drop and you can set 503 from there. Try setting the timer to 200 and see if that works out.

I submitted a problem ticket last night to Embarq and was assigned a ticket #. When I checked on the status this afternoon it was marked "clear" and the delayed disconnect was no longer an issue for my customer.
You have to love Embarq's efficiency and despise their customer service.
Thanks everyone for your help.

Sounds like BellSouth. I have run into similar problems with them and they will swear it is my phone system untill I spend several days at the customer site to prove "THEY" have a problem. This is especially true if the customer is using a reseller instead of BellSouth direct.
One other problem I have seen is ghost ringing on an integrated T1. This is usually related to an Adtran router. Can't remember what it was but they have to change a default timer to keep the line from heating up and giving a false ring.
