Running 4.1v1, 1-31-05, when I go into mailbox block and try to reset a subcriber password it never resets to the subscriber system default password
If I dial in via an extension and go into sys admin and then subscriber admin it will reset
Am I missing something here?

Did you try Ctrl Y to delete the password instead of entering the default password?

With the SVMi you never know. I think I would get on the latest software then try it. Odds are that it's broke. Svmi20 and the SVMi8/16 with the same issue???? I think the 8/16 is on 4.2 maybe? If you are both using Hyperterm then try something else.

Did you try to put “Default†in corresponding extensions for those mailboxes ? Is the right way .

No I haven't, I'll try using Default in both the extension and mailbox block tables and see what happens.
Thanks for the tip

Ding ding ding... resetting the extension password instead of the mailbox worked!
Seems backwards to me....

It's always been the extension block where you can reset a password. I beleive it's in the manual too but maybe I'm wrong.

Extension password will override the mailbox password. Only valid entries are "NONE" and "DEFAULT". When applied this resets the passwords to the default code.
