Has anyone seen an SVMi-4 spontaniously start recording calls, and only 1 side of the conversation. I can not reproduce it, an suggestions? The Calls are being recorded into mailbox 200 calls are made from ext 206.

Welcome . You’re end user ? Do you have some telecom knowledge’s ? Yes SVMI do the Automatic Recording if you’re the right MMC programming ,for the on side recording be more specific, talking about digital Samsung pfones, analog phones or VoIp phones ? Again Welcome in Samsung World.

Never heard of it but thats not sayin much.
The ability to record one side of a conversation is not something that is easily achieved, to have it happen by accident is even more unlikley.
Watch the port activity in the maint window what does it say there?
Mathrap has some valid questions. I doubt however this is IP related because you stated this is an svmi4 and not svmi4e. Can you give more detail about the system and voicemail?
how many ports?
is it an e or no e?
is the system a 100 or dcs compact or?
how old is it?
You would not happen to have ame set up on ext 206 would you?
what are the buttons on the phones in question

Wrichey,you now better then me ,SVIME4 or SMVMi4 E is just fallow the IDCS software(VoIp or not) ,so just let Dustin Owens give us more detail about the system and voicemail?

Sorry It is DCS Compact all Digital Phones, I believe it was customer Error and it has not re-occured. Thank you all for the Really Quick Responses and apolgise for my delay in my response. I haven't worked on any of the newer Samsung Products, but I have several older DCS, and Compacts I service.
