Hi guys,
I’ve 4 months ago upgraded old DCS 2 cabinets to a new IDCS500R2 ver. 2.63 switch with 12 ports SVMI8E central voice mail. It’s a site with large amount of calls per day, and it’s also a master system for a 3 Samsung networked site with OS100 and OS7200 same versions software. All trunks goes thru a full PRI on IDCS500 and networking between sites is IP with few ITP phones. All the package working great, except 2 non logical issues !(talk about local calls only on the IDCS500 site)
1 (one) Randomly VT to mail box goes to main greeting (average 1 to 7 voice mail transfer).
2(two) The worst think I’ never seen MMC 209 the AOM master disappeared !!!!(random also 4 to 9 days)
So next will fallow with all the changes already done for this 500 funny pabx. I changed the port in the 16DLI card for the reception (201 and the master for 64 buttons AOM), why not the AOM working well with old DCS , no results…. ,do software update to 2..66(last,why not), no results …,do a radical MMC 811 reset memory(perhaps database corruption) ,no results either ….,all the programming after 811 was done thru a 28 bts. phone (i’ve the last OSM launch pad and OSM version), no results…..,installer and admin password changed 3 day ago is the last change was done. I’m in the Samsung world since 2000 and honestly thinking i’m a respectable Samsung installer/tech, but with this 500 problem, what next MCP card ?
I messing something ? :bang:

Is the VT not working to the same mailbox or is it for any mailbox? Could be a Network LCR issue. Best bet is to monitor the svmi watching port activity to see what it is receiving on those random VT's that end up in the main greeting. Make sure you call progress is turned on in port activity and if needed the IPC monitor. Let us know what it sees and we can figure it out for ya. As far as the AOM disapearing what do you mean? Is it just the master extension disapearing? I've never heard of that before and I've done lots of networked IP installs.

It’s local calls ,networking is O.K. ,all stations for IDCS500 are forwarding to vm group(mail boxes for all stations), problem is for any mailboxes and yaa only master for MMC 209 disappeared(reception 201,MMC 806 see all the time valid 64 AOM), forget about networking is only IDCS500, but it’s true the master station in 209 disappeared ,only this !!!!.
After all the normal changed ,i’ changed the 2 passwords(3 day ago), and y’right benb i've never heard of that before. Thanks for helping .

On #1 I would monitor the activity and I would clear the report information in the SVMi so that you can get a clear look to see if all the ports are busy. I thought that if all ports were busy that it tried to dump the call to 500. Maybe it's the 500 greeting you are hearing.

#2 is all 3 sites on 2.66 and is all software on all the cards the same? In the 500 is the MCP 2.66, LCP/SCP 2.66, mgi2 1.24 or mgi3 3.60 are you using the 3.13 OSM and the 1.03 launchpad dated 06.07.10? If you are then I would save a download to your laptop close the session and open the saved database. See if the info is there. Does the info show up when you list it thru the phone? If you used the launch pad 1.03 but with an earlier date on these system then you have a bad problem.

I seem to recall an issue I don't know was fixed in the VM's. It seems that the forward station and forward trunk would sometimes get messed up. what I mean is that when a call would come in the VM sometimes would follow fs and other times ft. My only work around at the time was to set the forward trunk and the forward station the same.(just a thought)

Don't doubt yourself. It's not you.

I cant imagine it being the mcp because you have updated the software and the glitch still follows.

As for the AOM Master. I too have never seen that happen. Does the customer have access to programming? or maybe they are swapping phones around like 28 buttons with 18 buttons? for that matter what happens when 201 is unplugged for an extended period like during system maintenance

Really I am just shooting in the dark

Thanks for replay ,yes I’ve the lasted OSM software and the lasted any card updates (Samsung official ftp site),and after 811 clear memory I done all programming thru a 28 falcon set, no kidding(1 hour retyping, and i’m fast),and then AOM master disappeared(201), patch this thru remote ITP phone, no OSM.

we had to start setting up all our mails using FT and FS lately. Saves a trip back to the site in a month to fix. Anyone experience port 201 on a 100 with a vm box. Had 2 systems with the main call handler on port 1 off the backplane have issues with forwarding to vm when he or she was on the line. CFBNA set up in 316 and manually. If someone dialed while they were on the phone, call would disconnect. Called in about it to tech support, they told me it was a known issue and to renumber to available station port. Had to tell the customer they just bought a 8 trunk/15 port system. laugh

Thanks,
No , no swap between phone sets, and last changed i made was the passwords change(installer and admin), already changed the port on 16DLI card. So after incoming calls was answered by the operator (no more VM) ,manually VT button key and MB number then blue button. Sometimes caller hearing the main greeting(Day menu greeting), instead MB greeting like VT button without any MB information. Yes i already seen this first port on OS100 disconnect calls on FB to VM but never for the big brother OS500. laugh

Howie,

The latest s/w for the iDCS 100 fixes your issue when port (extension) 201 is busy the voice mail does not forward and drops the call.
