First I would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays !!
i have a cust with DCS ROM2 trying to hook up Sim for call accounting. I can use the PCMMC with the Sim but no SMDR output. I have set up MMC 311 to SMDR,modem speed etc. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I am missing. I also have the I/O ports set up.

MMC 725,804 AND 300
804 being most important
You can use either pcmmc or smdr but not both :thumb:

Have you set up SMDR Options?
Have you connected it to hyperterminal using the same com settings as System I/O Parameter?
Here is the pinout of the serial cable if you need it
2 - 3 3 - 2 5 - 5 4 - 4

If I am not mistaken, the DCS had 2 different ROM's available. ROM1 and ROM2 Only difference is that the number of SIM's that could be connected to the system. 1=ROM1, 2=ROM2. If you have PCMMC, you also can have SMDR, but you have to program as so.

One way to test the SMDR output is to use hyperterminal connected to the SIM. Set it up as VT100 and match the settings in 804. As the others stated MMC 804 needs to be set up proplerly and the cable needs to be pinned out correctly.

Thanks guys for the response !!!!!
After many hours of trouble shooting I found I missed in MMC 804 SIM PAIR input. I guess you have to tell the SIM manually what ext you are using for the sim. I found if you use PCMMC program it puts the ext in at SIM PAIR automaticly.
thanks again
