Has anyone had this happen ?
I had 2 systems (500r2 /7200)that stopped working today reset the mgi and everything went back to working ?
The only thing in common is they both have the same high speed carrier ( Suddenlink )used to be (cox)..

I have seen the occasional MGI lockup. It happens on different systems though thankfully not that often. I wouldn't be that concerned. It may be something due to inactivity for lengthy periods of time or could just be a fluke.

I had that problem happen to me for a while. What software are you using? The problem stopped after the point to point T1 carrier fixed some things and I upgraded the MGI cards to the latest software and the MCP cards to the latest software.

The upgrade will work. All MCP and MGI need to be the most current release

SW definitly matters. Gotta have matching software on each end of the network. I would start there then check out those mgi's and swap hardware if they still give you a problem.

This post is a bit old but thought I would add my own comments...
I am also having a issue with Samsung MGI locking up. I am using some fax software SR140 Brooktrout to connect to the MGI card... it works fine for about 2 hours and then stops. Get errors back about the Fax driver failing... but when I reset the MGI card everything works fine. Note sure if the issue is with the Samsung hardware or the thirdparty software...
I will check with our Comms company to ensure that the the MGI and MCP are running current release software.
