If the moderators on this board could have a dollar for every time this question has been posted :bang: No offense either by the way.

The procedure goes like this. One you'll need to get a letter from the company stating that you are their authorized vendor on their company letter head, also stating that the nature of the request and have it sent to Samsung. Two you'll need to give Samsung access to the system via LAN or Modem so they can log into it and reset it for you. Three you could skip the previous two and default the system completely.

Playing Devil's Advocate here:

IF the client has bought the system (meaning not a rental), the installer should give the client the tech password (since the system belongs to the client)

Should the client fiddle around on the system and "break" something or get an un-qualified tech to work on it that "breaks" something then the qualified tech/company can/should charge the client to fix it.

Once clients start paying double they will soon realize that it doesn't pay to use un-qualified techs.

On the same point though dealers shouldn't use the tech password to wield leverage over the client, bottom line is if you provide the service they pay for, they will always come back.

If they don't pay - don't service them again.

Guys,
This original post is 2 years old why are we dragging it back from the dead?
Tech passwords in the wrong hands can cause problems yes.Should a tech withhold a tech password,no if the system is owned. But the tech can /should either give the customer the password or change it to a generic one if the customer insists. Let's leave it at that for now and please feel free to open a new thread in the future instead of posting to an old one.Yes a post was deleted but it was a one word post that had absolutely nothing to do with this thread.
