using phones 1122S. my ext#17 had no sound when handset was picked up. some contact cleaner and an incantation, working ok now. then i noticed after using intercom i hang up, itcm goes out, then 2 seconds after the spkr lights up and stays on. the light is on system wide until another phone is used. i understand ext#17 is useable for PA/ext. speaker but have used ext#17 for the station only. am not using any night programing. that ext is on a shipping dock so i do have toll restrictions on that station. it is a dirty location so i exchanged the base and handset with no remedy. none of the other stations behave this way. any comments? ted.

You have music enabled on that set. Press ITCM # 1. That should cancel the feature.

thanks for the reply...your right on the money...but, not sure how to implement as i can not find an example in the station user manual. only a vague mention of the music button and other feature codes. i do remember an example of using # and * to toggle items, but cant find it in the system manual. sorry but i have to understand it b4 i do it.

In the back of your user guide should be a quick reference guide.
