My phone support guy is having trouble backing up our voice mails. When connecting through the network port we can launch the FTP Server on the phone system. When trying to connect, we get a blank directory listing. I tried connecting with a different FTP client and we get an invalid username/password error. Can someone PM me the default username / password to use when backing up mail as I'm sure it hasn't been changed. The reason for the backup is that our VM card has been acting up and the hard drive is most likely going bad.
Thanks

Have you tried the FTP software that Samsung offers for the SVMi systems?

Is your phone support guy a Samsung Certified tech? If so he can get the user id and password for the ftp server on the SVMi-8. If not, you should hire a Samsung tech to back-up your system for you.

I only have tried off shelf FTP clients such as WS_FTP. What is special about the FTP Software Samsung offers, and where can I download it?
The backup procedure is straight forward, both him and I know how to do it. The only problem is getting access to the files and that requires knowledge I don't have (the default username / password). I will throw out the default password I normally use with the device (XXXX) but I will comply with site rules. I am wondering if that password is different than what is used with the FTP server, since I've tried it and it doesn't let me log in to the FTP.
Thanks

Unfortunetly, you can not download the software... it is something you receive from Samsung during SVMi training. Your tech should have it or access to it.
