I have an setup with one user who has an ITP phone at home. The connection is good and all the correct ports are open.

When in a call (either internal or trunk) the ITP end can hear the caller fine, but the ITP mic to caller is quiet. Sometimes it is just about ok, but mainly on trunks it is to quiet and is starting to annoy customers.

Which setting do I need to adjust?

You can try adjusting the gain for ITP to Atrk but be carefull becuase making the ITP transmit volume louder can sometimes cause an echo for the IP user. There are also settings in 841 where you can adjust the transmit mic in the handset but I forget if that makes a difference in the IP sets. There is also a place in 835 where you can make changes to the audio gain. It is very difficult to get a good balance of audio on copper trunks with IP sets. Beleive me I'm still trying. I though have very few issues when dealing with digital trunks which offer better quality.

If this is only when using mgi channels, then check mmc 835. If you have mgi 16 check settings under mgi6. and if you have mgi3 under mgi 3 etc.

The main thing to confirm is the voice vol and input gain. default is 32. if these are at 0, you will want to confirm all settings for 835, they are probably all blank.

In 841 increase all 8 levels of ITP TX gain/hanset by 10 or 12.
