OS100 r2 mcp1 with misc3.All cid trunks set for cid in MMC414. Also checked on providers' co line
with caller id box, ok there.All stations set for allow in MMC312. MMC119 set for number first.
When call comes in you get INVALID CID DATA on the phones dislay. any ideas ??? :bang:

What is the software version?I think there was a problem with certain Nortel DMS switches doing this and it was corrected.They said it was a Canadian problem and was an issue in 2.63 and 2.66 software and corrected in 2.69

I think the customer said it was mcp ver.2.48
05.09.13....also he changed out the 6 trunk card
and it didn't help. This is a first for me, I haven't heard of getting that msg for cid in an
idcs100 system before now.

Ok if is ver 2.48 should be the Misc 3 if you are 2.63 or 2.66 update to 2.69.

Does it say invalid CID or no CID received? if it says invalid, misc card or corruption is likely. If it says not received, then i would upgrade first. Testing at default cant hurt anyway, it takes out a big variable. just do a db backup before, then default, test, and reload the db from osm.

The msg on the display says INVALID CID DATA....
also the system had been defaulted and the db backed up,but that didn't help .This is a first,
to get that msg ....misc card has been changed. :bang:

Are you using all of your trunks? If not only set the lines that are in use for caller id the rest to none.

This will sound off the beaten path.

Check your line voltage and milliamps, make sure you are not over the limits of what the systems defines. If you need to put requlators or chokes on the lines sandman has them cheap.

A prolonged period of power issues can create problems for the sysem. I know you checked with a cid box but I have had the same issue in the past and after many trips and replacement parts I found the only fix to be the regulators.
