Hi

Can any one help me with the following problem. LCR is set up to use group 81. Group 81 members is low cost router ( either cell-router, voip external). Group 80 members normal analogue lines from telecoms company. Group 80 is used only for local calls. Group 81 is used for all other calls. The problem is that when my router is down the client can't make any long or cellphone calls, as all calls are routed through this group via LCR. Is there any programing that will allow these calls to overflow to group 80. Don't want to use manual pickup as client missuses this. We currently install DCS24(816), iDCS100, iDCS500.

Thanks

Couldn't you use the LCR Route Advance feature?
Look up mmc 711 in your manual.

Thanx. I will try. Phoned local Samsung Suppliers said there is no way. Have to do manual pick up.

Looked at MMC 711. Seems like this is time bound. I want the group to overflow when my router is down, not at specific times. Thanx

I know what you're trying to do and unfortunately I've never set it up but if you look up trunk advance it refers to being able to place calls on "more expensive" trunks an any given time of day.Usually this is a case where all the least cost trunks are in use and certain users can be given access to the trunk advance feature.Read mmc310.
But they aren't very specific as to how to do it but there is a timer in mmc501 for trunk advance .As well mmc712 refers to utilizing more than 1 trunk group to place the calls.I'm sure you can do it but exactly how...well you may have to play with the LCR route tables to get it going.

Yeah, PVJ is right on. You certainly can setup route advance. It is commonly used when people have a Qsig connection and MGI as backup. You need to bump up your lcr cos. I dont have the mmc infront of me, but you must be at least 2. If you set it to 2, then in 712, you will have route 1:1 and route 1:2. Where route1:1 is the primary and 1:2 is the failover. If you dont want time to be a factor, then leave 711 as is. It works like a champ.

mmc 310 is where LCR class of service is set and is done on a per station basis. This way you could allow only certain phones to advance to a different trunk group as needed or allow all phones.

I've tried MMC 712. Route 1:1 C:1 Group 80 (analogue lines)

Route 2:1 C:1 Group 81 ( VOIP )
Route 2:1 C:2 Group 80 (Analogue lines)
Overflows to group 80 if all lines in Group 81
busy.
MMC 310 all LCR 2
However if I disconnect voip router system says "All trunks out of service"
Tried Route 2:2 Group 80. Same result. Went to local supplier. Same as before. I have to program manual pickup key for analogue trunks.
