Hi,

I have a menu system setup in the svmi that at 1 particular point dumps a caller directly into a voicemail box. Because the announcement for the caller is handled in the menu system, we want to have no greeting played when the caller is dumped into the box. However when no recording is recorded, the system plays "Mailbox 3501 is recording...", Beep.... The beep is fine and that we'd like to be there except we don't want to have anything played before the beep. Is there a way of doing this?

As for what I think may be suggested, which would be to play the message recorded in the menu announcement as the mailbox greeting rather than as a menu announcement, it would be something we are greatly looking to avoid. Reason being that our hours change seasonally and essentially we want to have our "voice" (outside company), record all of the prompts needed for all seasons and then just go into the svmi and change the prompt number as necessary. If the greeting is recorded as the mailbox greeting it would need to be re-recorded each season.

Any suggestions?

I record 1.5 seconds of silence for the name. Anything less and it wont save it will trim it. Then when they trigger through the menu it plays 1 second of silence and then you here the beep.

That was going to be my backup plan if there wasn't a way to specifically disable it.

Yeah, I have been looking but I think you are just going to have to record a 1 second greeting of just nothing.

Use the mute key when you record the silence or you will get back ground noise.
