I recently installed a OS100 with analog lines and digital phones. A month later here I am adding 5 ITP5121D's. My MCP ver. is 06.07.12 V 2.66; MGI 16 ver. 06.04.13 V 1.11; SCP Ver. 06.03.07.07 V 1.06; I am able to ping the MCP and the MGI the phone has been registered and every thing is correct in MMC xxx. The ITP phone has time and extension on it, but 9 out of ten times when calling from the phone the dislay will read "no MGI channel available" and the times I get through some times there is only a receive path but no transmit. Any ideas? These phones will be going across a VPN but right now I have one only plugged into the system and in is plugged in the main switch the MGI and MCP are in for testing purposes.

Couple of things to check
First make sure MMC xxx & xxx are ok with the correct IP's and G/W.
Also Check MMC xxx and make sure your MGI channels are in there. This will be populated if you put the MGI in a new system but not if you Add the MGI later.
The one way speetch path is usually due to not having the correct G/W in the ITP. Although this should no be a problem on the same LAN and VLAN.

Dan I recently ran into the same issue. Sometimes I had good voice 1 out of ten calls. 2 out of ten I had broken voice or not usable. The other calls no MGI channel available. Like you I was right in the phone room off of the same data switch. Changed out to MGI 3. All is good. MGI 16 sent back to Samsung.

I had to move the voice mail but the mgi is in slot 3 of the main cabinet

I always use the 1st slot (just to the right of the MISC board). We have not had any problems.
BTW the Samsung Demo Kit is set-up this way.

Is this mean that MGI card slot sensible???

No it is not, it is just a standard that we developed. If there is a problem with a slot it would be something that Samsung would need to address. Samsung states that the card must be in the main cabinet and not in the exp. cab.
