My customer has an OS500 with a TEPRI card. When they choose a line, then dial 226, then pause for about 3 seconds there is a busy tone then the bottom line says "invalid number." They do not have LCR but I am wondering how they would extend that timer?

When you use PRI you have to use LCR. Any pause in dialing will cause that condition.
