This is confusing.
IDCS500 L R2
2 Cabs
2 Tepri (PRI)
5 16DLI
1 16SLI and 1 8SLI
Cab 1 Has the Tepri and DLI cards with two PSU's
Cab 2 has 1 DLI and both SLI

Seems to be only on users on Cab 1 they are talking to an outside line and the volume drops to a whisper, usually stays that way. the other person can here them just fine. Rarely does it return to normal.
This happens with 1 or 10 people on extensions, seems to be only incoming calls, and fully random.

Just had ATT test and they reran one of the PRI circuits (bad splice) this happened before and after the "FIX" ATT says it is not them dropping voltage etc, Local vendoar says not system, and doesn't recommend a PSU problem.

This is the case where money is not really an object if the fix is right, New PSU's would be easy if hat could be the issue, but it doesn't seem to matter what the load on the system is.

Thanks for any help they keep calling me totell me it happens, but there is no pattern I can discern.

Steve

Steve welcome

This is the kind of post everyone should make when stating troubles. Thank you for your attention to detail.

I have to agree about it not being a power issue, with 2 psu's your system should be able handle 120 stations. Thats not to say that it is not the first thing I would replace, After all they are an easy fix and readily available.

Has your vendor checked the settings for transmit and receive gain?
Another thought is this: are the stations affected always the same. The reason I ask is you stated the calling end can hear fine. If so the volume settings for the station need to be checked. Sometimes people just sit and tap the volume controls all willy nilly like. This can cause the station volume to drop to its minimum and stay there. example: as I continue to press my volume up button it will eventually peak, it has happened were the system loops the volume and stops at it lowest setting. At that point I am no longer able to adjust the volume with out doing a reset.

Also it could be a channel or group of channels on the tepri, it would not hurt to replace them aswell. After all you stated cost is not a problem right.

Just some thoughts

Thanks

I checked the levels and they are fine, I did a reset thinking it might just be "STUCK' (imagine that these modern devices get stuck) no Luck

Vendor to be here tomorrow and it might be replace the tepri card time. will advise
