Customer has a dsu II and wants to add voice mail. They specifically want to be able to record conversations. Is this possible and what parameters have to be in place to make it happen?

Put a Debut, or better yet a small office or small office lite, configure it for VM, Serial integration, and VM and record works fine. The CVSOC4 Small office and Debut were discontinued by Vertical, but only a little while ago, so there may still be some available. If not, check the secondary market. Never had many problems with either on a DSUII.

Should work with all rev's of the DSU II. I have them on the Impression and Impact versions.

I believe there is a minimum rev. for this to work. At one time I had a compatibility matrix that showed this. Maybe someone still has one handy.
