We are rebuilding a system that we are working on which is a IDCS 500. We are adding a cadence VM unit into it but for some reason its not working with the 4 digit extensions. First of all will the cadence work with this model and second of all how do I get this to 3 digits. BTW this is a Rev 1.3

There is a jumper switch on the MCP. Your manual will tell you which switches should be set to on or off. Not sure about the Cadence I use the SVMI.

The Cadence should work in the iDCS 500. The Cadence can be changed to 4-digit mailbox numbering as well, see MB Width in the manual.

Strike that, MB Width limited to 2 or 3 digits. When stations are 4 digits Cadence will associate the last 3 digits as the mailbox number (i.e. ext. 2246 has mailbox 246).
