Hello, last week I upgraded an iDCS500 R1 to R2, everything is working properly except for the CID, every time my customer recieve an incomming call, they see on the screen "NO CLI NAME" on the first line, and the CID number on the 2nd line, if you change the CID display option (mmc 119) to "NO DISPLAY" or "NAME FIRST" it is the same, nothing change. Before the screen showed the Station Group Name on 1st line and the CID number on the 2nd line MCP2 is V2.69 TEPRI is V1.07
Please somebody has any idea what could be, Thanks a lot.

Are you front ended by AA or VM?

On Day mode the calls ring into a group with 6 extensions and after 018 sec go to AA, and on Night mode the calls go Directly to AA (SVMI 16 with 8 ports), by the way I forgot to write that happens to extensions with DID's too.

Are there any scenarios where you get CLI name at all? Generally, there is potential for CLI name to be affected if front ended by AA, but you can adjust in some AA timers. If you are getting the same results on DID straight translating to stations that does not sound like the case. Does SMDR show the Name as well? Who is your carrier? What kind of CO switch? Is this intermittent or do you never see CLI Name? Please dont tell me NuVox. They are nuthin but trouble.

What Sam Sung is leading you to is, You may not have "deluxe CID" which supplies name and number.
Second note. There is a translation table in the system so if you know the number you can manually add the name to it. But this is not worth while because of the shear amount of probable numbers.
Can I assume you are using the Tepri card for PRI?

Sam Sung...
We have a customer who has 3 PRI's with over 200 DID's. Some of DID's show No CLI name. There is no AA in front of the DID's. Any suggestions?

Some DID's show no CLI name, but others do? Is that correct? That doesnt sound very right.
I would take your cell phone and confirm that you see the incoming CLI name and number on the display of a "good" DID then also on a "bad" DID. You wanna make sure that you arent comparing apples to oranges. You may have some carriers sending only number when combined with certain carriers. (Sprint cellular to ATT is a good example - only sends number)
Once you have 2 DID's coming in on the same PRI with a different result, then watch the SMDR print of each. Do you see Name on both? If yes, then something is up on the system side. If not, then for some reason, your call is not coming in the same way via the carrier. You now have enough data to call ur carrier and stand ur ground. I would have them get a D channel trace. If they then somehow produce a D channel trace that looks identical from their remote side, then you have to demand that they come out locally with a protocol analyzer for a local trace, cuz they cant see how the data ends up on your end.
On the other hand, if you are getting name and number both on the SMDR, but only number on the phone, then maybe hardware...maybe database...i dunno, cuz i havent seen it yet.
It's all pretty logical.
