hello all

night service is fine

day rings to 500 one xtn in group

overflows to 501, 2 xtns, then o/flow 529 but plays mailbox greeting for 501 and i want it to play day main mnu and have callers get the AA options

any ideas? :bang:

must be something in forward station/trunk?

If you delete the 501 mailbox it will play the main greeting.This would work fine unless you're using the 501 mailbox for something else ie a general mailbox?

yes one of the the options in the AA (day and night)is to leave a message which i set to mbox 501 so that the two xtns in 501 have an mw501 key.

btw all the xtns are DDI also with personal mailboxes

You are right, in the forward station and trunk menu's put a rule in each to say, if you see 501 then goto main day menu, job done.

Yes, as its set up at the moment the vm will go to mbx501,
You can either enter a route into your fwd station menu, (eg.501-goto-Menu-Day Main) this is the best way.
Or, you can set mbx 501 to be announce only and set no message left option on page 5 to go to your AA menu.

That would be fine but he doesn't want an announce only mbx for 501 as he is using this for messages and to light a MW key on 2 extn's.

the fwd stn/trnk option did the trick. it was looking for an input of 502 which threw me but 502 - goto - mnu - day main works perfectly in this case.

Amazing how obvious things are when the customer isn't standing over your shoulder watching you at 5pm on a friday afternoon!
