Site A = iDCS 500 Site B = iDCS 100
Sites networked together through VOIP.
Sometimes when Site B calls an extension at Site A directly, the Extension at Site A cannot hear the Extension at Site B talking.(Site B can hear them though). It also happens when Site A calls Site B, except site B cannot hear.
Doesn't happen very often, I have made several test calls and could only make it happen once.
Programming looks ok, there are other nodes hooked to site A and they don't have this trouble. Also, this problem was first reported about 1 month ago, the system has been in for 6 months so I don't think that it always did it.
Thinking I might swap out the MGi card and see if that does anything.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this. My worry is that I cannot find anything wrong, my hunch is that it is a network issue, I am not much of a network guy . I am not sure how to prove the network issue.
Not sure if a network problem would even cause this issue.
Thanks for any advise

Many possibilities. are all ports open in routers, and firewalls on both ends? turn on logs in routers, and look for blocked packets. VPN, point to point, or public internet?? if public internet, make sure all public and private IPs are programed. Make sure MMC xxx and xxx set public with private. check port forwarding in routers. update all MGI software. MGI3/16= 3.62
MGI64=20

Try doing this...Put an IP phone at Site A and intercom it from Site A. Do it over and over and over again till you get the same problem. If it does happen then it is most likely in the system. If you can never get it to happen then you might want to start looking at the network.
