I have 2 IDCS 500's networked together. I am having echo issues when node 2 is using the PRI trunks on node 1. However, I have no echo on an intercom call betwween nodes or a call on a copper loop start line.

Any help would be appre  ciated

You could check the volume gain level on the pri trunks. Might be coming in too hot and then when the network card gets it and amplifys it some more hence causing echo. Just a thought.

I have alredy lowered the volume gain on the pri trunks in mmc xxx. The overall volume dropped but the echo was still present on the remote node. I have also changed settings on the mgi-3 in mmc xxx. Same result-lower overall volume. Could this be a version or config issue?

The echo is coming from the carrier for the PRI circuit. I've had this problem before. Is the carrier a CLEC by any chance?

Yes, the carrier is a CLEC. I have had the carrier check the circuit and of course it is not their problem. The echo only occurs on the remote node.
Thanks, I will have the carrier check again.

I'm thinking you need to adjust Voip to DTRK.
Or possibly Voip to Voip at one or the other sites.

Since the PRI doesn't have a problem on the Digital phones.

When we had the problem it only appeared from Node 2 to Node 1 and only when Node 2 was accessing one of Node 1's trunks.

For the networking, are you using QSig or SPNet?

I am running MGI-3's in both locations. No echo when intercoming between the nodes, or when using tandom trunking via LS lines. The only time I get the echo is when using tandem trunking via PRI trunks. I have already lowered the voip-dtrk at node 2 where the echo is present. No echo at node 1, where the PRI is connected.
When I lowered voip-dtrk and dtrk-voip the overall volume of the call dropped, but the echo was still there. I also lowered the voice volume in MGI DSP Options, with the same result.
Thanks
