Hello.
Can the SVMI8 Voice mail be placed in any of the universal slots in the OS100 R2 system or do you have to have the expansion cabinet to make this work?

The SVMI8 has a different connector than the 100 universal slots. It needs to be installed in the expansion cabinet in the special slot dedicated for the SVMI8 and/or the PRI card.

Hi.
Does this also hold true for the SVMI4-E as the SVMI8E?
In other words, do both voicemails use the same type of connection for the slots which you need the expansion cabinet for or can the SVMI4-E go into the universal slot in the main cabinet?

The SVMi4e will plug in the main or expansion cabinet using a universal slot.
You can get an expansion cabinet with one slot for PRI or SVMi8e or an expansion cabinet with two slots for PRI and SVMi8e. Both of these cabinets will also have universal slots.
The SVMi4e and SVMi8e do not use the same type of slot.
