Hi Got a new client. Problem OS500 will restart by it self on random. No specific intervals. Config of system 16Dli, 8Dli, SVMi16, AA, 4BRI, 3x 8 Trunk.MCP ver 2.69. System instaaled +- 1 year ago by somebody else. Changed both power supplies 2 days ago. Any idea what to check for next. My next try would be the cab or MCP card

I would try the MCP next as well, it can be alot of effort to replace a cabinet. It could also be one of the other cards that is causing the problem, have you had a look at the alarm logs?, they may give you something to go on. You could also default the system (of course do a backup first and remove the SVMi) and see if the fault occurs, this is not always easy to do of course depending on the hours the business operates.

Does the customer use a linksys router? I've had no end of reboot troubles on 7100's and 7400's when the customer is using Linksys routers. I've also had wierd OfficeServ Link problems with 3COM 16 port switches. On the 7100/7400's, i had the customer unplug the router - problem went away. No idea why...

There is no routers connected. Think I might try another MCP. Will let you know what happens.

Before we go suggesting all the possible problems, what does the error log show? If you are getting a "watchdog" you have issues. I can help with some suggestions if that is the problem, but you will need to send me a PM or call me at the number below.

Check to see if the MCP Serial Number falls in this range 2QXJ20 – 2QXJ37 If it does call tech support it may need to be replaced.

Just for the sake of elimnation. I was wonder to if there is a rcm2 card in the system. I have these cards do strange things to systems. If used, removed it for a period of time and keep a watch! Just a through! Hope You can clear the problem without to much damage.
