Hello, I am hoping someone can help me out with a delay issue.
I have an OS100 with SVMi. There is a delay between the end of the "No-Answer" OGM and the "beep" to leave the message. I would say it is over 2 seconds and it is an awkwardly long delay.
I think it has something to do with the "No Answer" message being part of the extension and then it is handed off to the mailbox? The reason I am thinking this is because the system has virtual extensions with mailboxes that have no delay and physical extensions with mailboxes that DO have delays. The virtual extensions and their mailboxes where renumbered from 3501 to 156 and 3502 to 157 and so on. In the SVMi I changed the virtual extension numbers back to 3501 and left the mailbox number 156. And now when you press 156 the mailbox greeting is played and the delay is gone. The physical extensions and their mailboxes have been renumbered too and I don't know how to eliminate that delay.
Does anyone have suggestions on what I should try on the physical extensions to eliminate their delay?
Thanks for any advice...
Scott

Have you changed anything in the standard ECLASS?

Hi Benb,
I have looked at the eclass and some prompts are blank. It's the: Target Herald prompt forward herald prompt blind xfer prompt monitored xfer prompt no answer prompt
I can't tell if there were any other changes until I get back on site.
When waiting to leave a message I hear the no answer greeting, then the long pause, then I hear the prompt "recording" followed immediately by the beep. Do you know if there is a prompt missing before the "recording" prompt? And would that cause the delay?

Yes, agree with Benb go on your ECLASS fist page, right top corner then Wait for Entry parameter(3 sec. default), I modify always to 0 and NO the only prompt is 0925 (Recording…),delete it if you want. Hope is helpful .

It was the "Wait for Entry" parameter. Knocked it down to 0 as suggested and now get the beep without delay. I left the "recording" prompt in because they weren't complaining about it.
So thanks guys! you helped me to look smart in front of the customer and now they are completely satisfied with the operation of the system.
