Samsung iDCS500, v2.44, 500L
I'm trying to figure out how to send someone to voice mail.
1. Caller calls in. 2. Transfer to extension 210 3. Announce is On. 4. extension 210 doesnt want to talk to them and says "put them thru to my voice mail." 5. Press ???? to do that.
If I press #, it goes to the Main Voice Mail for the Office, not the extension 210.
If I press the VT key, it asks for an extension?? I'm already "talking" to the extension. If I put in 210, it goes to the MAIN Voice Mail for the Office.
both the, No Answer Greeting (5,1) and Mailbox Greeting (5,7) are Set.
Any Ideas?
Thanks -sapphire

If the person doesn't want the call then you should see a soft key under the display that says return (or press the key that the call is on.)This gets the outside caller back to you. Then use the VT key and dial the mailbox(extension) or press the DS key if you have one.

Thanks PVJ.
I think after I read my message again.. I see where I maybe didn't phrase it correctly.
I can do the VT key, and enter the extension and it will go to their personal VM.
As an explanation, our other office has a Nec Elite 192 system, when we transfer to the extension, and they say, "put it in thru to my voice mail", we can just press 7 right then, and it will go, to the person's extension we are connected to while in the transfer mode.
does the iDcs500 not have that ability?
Is the VT key the only way?
I thought we could just press #, while in transfer mode, and it would go to the extensions VM?

thanks, mathrap.
Still doesn't work.
I still have to use the "return" and VT key and enter the extension to transfer too.
What I want to do is this:
1. A call comes in for Joe @ ext 210, the operator answers. 2. the operator presses "transfer 210" to announce the call. 3. Joe doesn't want the call. 4. Operator presses ???? to go directly to his voice mail.
Is there no way to do this?
Or do you have to RETURN the call Press VT dial the extension "AGAIN" then hangup????
is that it?
thanks for the help

If you enabled VM AME in COS and the # doesn’t work the right answer is a software update ,2.44 is very old.

I think the "#" feature only sends the call to voicemail if 1) the phone is set to "ring" mode and 2) the "#" key is pushed on the ringing phone.
