Samsung iDCS500, v2.44, 500L
I have a realtor office. with about 200 agents.
We also have 4 large realtor groups.. of 8-15 agents each.
they would like to have their OWN, Auto Attendant.
In that I setup them as a Group.. 5003, 5004, 5005, etc..
I add their extensions into each group.
I setup a DID that rings to the Group, say, grp 503.
Can I set them up their OWN, Auto Attendant?
The Main VoiceMail, Day Night Mode, is setup to 5049, Bi-Vms, ports 3081 to 3088.
Thanks for any help

thanks..
I have the SVMI connected by Serial, but I can't find the Prompt/Menu area to create a menu for a certain phone group?
I have the SVMI Manual CD, but can't find anything on the configuration of the Menu system for the group
Any "leads" down the right path, would be nice
thanks

You need to access through HyperTerm. You'll need the VM password. If it is an 8E (i'm sure it is), that is not on the client's LAN, you will need to connect a cross-over cable to the LAN port of the SVMi card. If you go serial the VM will lock up. Only use the serial port if you need to "warmboot". Once you do that, I think the easiest thing to do is to make a copy of the default Day and Night menu. Give them a new prompt number on page 1 and go from there.

Also, be advised depending on the setup of the Telco (circuit or copper) you will need to forward the groups and/or phone lines through Direct Trunk or Forward Station so the caller will hit the right greeting when they call in.

Thanks Larry...
So Hyperterm by Lan?
I am using Hyperterm by serial, but you say, Lan.. or the serial will lock up?
Also.. Can't I put the svmi on their Lan Switch or router?, so I can access it anytime without the need for a "cross-over" and On-Site access?
Oh.. and the Svmi, is the Smvi-16e version. ;-)
Thanks

------------- I Am Sapphire "If you think it is hard... it Will Be" "if you think it is it easy... it is" Are you a Tech? Making these types of changes to a voicemail can have a negative effect if you don't know what you are doing. I would suggest getting a Samsung Tech invloved for these changes. If you can connect your voicemail to your network, a tech can remotely connect to your system to make these changes. The voicemail needs to be configured for your network, but if you are able to connect via a serial cable... a tech should be able to walk you through the process over the phone. Feel free to contact me at the number below and I can help you with the setup.

I am the TECH now..
I'm the IT Officer for Keller Williams Realty, and I have Inherited the Phone system as part of my duties.
I have installed the system completely.. out of the box.. setup the system, ports, extensions, software, DID, groups, operators.. and all..
And now we are just doing tweaking and add-ons.
The local phone company, went under, during the install, so I became the tech we needed.
Installed two nice, 300 user, Patch Panels, to make office moves easier...
Overall.. for an IT tech.. I've done fine getting it all happy..
I'll keep chugging away.. I found some great manuals from a russian site, all in english.. which are leading me down the right path..
Thanks Marc

Since you are the Tech just give tech support a call and they can walk you right through it in a few minutes time.
