This should be easy for you guys.

Here goes:

I am working on a DCS (vintage unknown - i do not know how to determine this yet) approx 8-10 years old. It has two cabinets, analog and digital cards and an AA card. Analog trunks.

Problem is: Outside calls are answerd by the AA and greeting is played. dial "0" are transferred to a specific phone (ext 205) and the customer wants to forward this phone to another during low staff situations (ext 215). When this happens the diplay on ext 205 says "group 500 Operator" and the call does not forward to the 215 even though they have All Forward setup (601). Internall calls do forward correctly. I am assuming from reading this is a hunt group of some kind and perhaps I just need to add 215 into that group so it rings too.

What they really want is the first scenario - either the caller dials 215 or 0 and the calls transfers to that extension. In the event they want to forward the phone they want to use the 601 xxx forwarding. In this case I think i need to change "0" out of voice to a specific extension instead of a group...

The other catch is that I've never been into programming on a Samsung. I'm careful enough to navigate without making changes but do not know how to enter programming. I have a manual ( I think it's the right one and am beginning to understand MMC's

Thanks and let me know which direction to head or if more info is needed.

You are on the right track. In the AA setup, dial 0 option is going to 500 (which is the default operator group), so as you say, you can add 215 to group 500 or you can change the AA option to point to 205 and then forward 205 to 215 as needed. Calls that ring in a group can not be forwarded even though they ring on the given extn, however you can overflow the group to another group with more extn's in it or even overflow it to a single extn. The main reason for having it in a group is so that the calls will queue, especially for the operator. Feel free to PM me, giving installer programming instructions is outside the bounds of the open public forum.
