I'm sure this is easy, but I just can't find any data in the manuals for it..

I have a client, that wants to call in to the iDcs500, and forward their phone, to their Cell phone, or to their Home phone, or any other phone number they want.

But the only options I can find, is the ability to call the Smvi and set up "away" messages, or No Answer messages..

But no way to remotely connect to the iDCS500, and forward their extension, to an outside line?

thanks for any help

You can't forward a phone through the pbx unless you have EasySet or PCMMC/OfficeServ Manager software and login that way. You could go to the mailbox and use "Find Me". Forwards through the VM. It allows you to answer the call or send it back to VM. The problem is that it uses two of your trunks (one in and one out). Sometimes poses a prob if the customer only has 3 or 4 lines.

Maybe I'm stating this wrong...

At the office.
At the extension.
I press Transfer 102
I press 1
Put in my Cell Phone Number
Press Transfer
And Forwarding to my Cell Phone is done.

Now when someone calls my office phone, it will forward to my Cell Phone.

Perfect..

But... here's the scenario:

I don't have access to my Office today.

I'm in an all day meeting where I can't use my Cell Phone.

The receptionist where we are having our meeting, away from our office at another location, will allow me to have my calls forwarded to them.

So.. now..

How do I call my phone at my office, turn off the forwarding to my cell, and then forward all calls to the office where I am having my all day meeting?

Anyway?

Thanks

No you were stating it correctly, Larry is correct the only answer you have is to have them call into the VM and change the find me number. Set the keyset at the desk to all calls your voicemail group. When the customer is in the office at the phone dial 604. When they are not going to be in have them dail 601

so.. there is no way.. to call the iDCS500 system from my home, and change the number I had forwarded at my extension, to another number?

The same way, I can call into the VM and change my VM message from home...

??

thanks
